    Hyderabad: A shocking case of sexual assault on a married woman during a private bus journey has recently surfaced. The incident happened on September 18, when a bus cleaner allegedly assaulted the woman while she was traveling from Hyderabad to Samarlakota, a town in Andhra Pradesh.

    The victim, a 28-year-old woman from Samarlakota, currently lives and works in Kukatpally, Hyderabad. On the night of September 18, she boarded a private bus to return to her hometown. During the journey, the bus cleaner came to her seat and forcibly assaulted her. When she tried to scream for help, the cleaner threatened her, making it difficult for her to defend herself.

    The next day, after reaching her home, her family noticed she was upset and asked what had happened. It was then that she told them about the assault. Her family immediately took her to the Choutuppal police station, where they filed a formal complaint. The police have now registered a case and started an investigation.

    This is not the first time such an incident has occurred. On July 31, two drivers on a private bus sexually harassed a 26-year-old woman traveling from Nirmal, Telangana, to Prakasam, Andhra Pradesh. The growing number of such crimes on public transport raises serious concerns about the safety of passengers.
