The government received 5,324 applications during the Prajavani programme at Mahatma Jyotirao Phule Praja Bhavan on Tuesday. Out of these applications, 55% were about requesting the government to provide 2BHK homes, 30% were related to pension-related requests, and the remaining were about employment and land-related issues. Transport and BC Welfare Minister Ponnam Prabhakar oversaw the proceedings.

The Minister stated that the government will resolve the grievances based on priority and the adopted policy of the new government. However, since various schemes are yet to be rolled out and modalities need to be prepared by officials, it may take some time for implementation.

In response to questions, the Minister mentioned that former ministers like KTR and other top BRS leaders are having difficulty accepting their loss in elections. He suggested that they should come to terms with it as soon as possible. He also addressed KTR’s criticism of the proposed presentation in the Assembly, stating that Wednesday’s White paper presentation was conducted with decorum and unlike the ruling BRS party, the Congress was not promoting itself.

The Minister further expressed his disagreement with the statements made by former ministers like Kadiam Srihari, who claimed that the government would not last long. He believed that KTR’s anxiety reflects the negative perception of party leaders like Kadiam Srihari, who want to create unrest among the people.

The former MP strongly condemned the suspension of over 150 Parliamentarians, considering it as a stifling of democratic voices in the top institution of democracy. He criticized the government for remaining silent on the teargas attack in the new Parliament building, which was allegedly caused by a BJP MP during a session. He questioned why there has been no explanation provided even after a week.
