The Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) has chosen its leader, Mayawati, to be the candidate for Prime Minister in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. They will not be joining any opposition alliance, but instead will compete in the elections on their own. The party believes that Mayawati’s leadership and reputation as a strong administrator will attract Dalit voters who had previously supported the BJP. BSP is not influenced by other parties and holds its own ideology and values.
