Wanaparthy: Vijay Kumar Goud, who served as Mee Seva EDM, has been removed from his position. The decision came from the State Mee Seva Commissioner, T Ravikumar, on Tuesday.

A complaint had been lodged alleging that Goud demanded a 50,000 rupee bribe from an administrator for renewing the Mee Seva – Permanent Aadhaar Enrollment Center. After conducting an internal investigation, Ravikumar confirmed the allegations and ordered Goud’s dismissal. Chandrashekhar, the Mahabubnagar EDM, has been appointed as the interim IDM for Wanaparthy, taking over the duties from Goud, who breached the Mee Seva (ESD) Electronic Services Delivery Rules and was involved in corrupt practices.
