Telangana’s IT and Industries Minister, D Sridhar Babu, has urged the Union Government to restart two closed central public sector units in the state.

On Wednesday, Sridhar Babu met Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Steel, H.D. Kumaraswamy, in New Delhi to discuss this issue. He submitted a formal request, highlighting Telangana’s dedication to boosting the nation’s GDP through industrial expansion and job creation. “Revitalizing inactive industrial units in Telangana is a priority for us,” Sridhar Babu mentioned.

He pointed out the successful reopening of Ramagundam Fertilizers and Chemicals Limited (RFCL) in Peddapalli as an example. He suggested that bringing back the Cement Corporation of India (CCI) in Adilabad and Sponge Iron India Limited (SIIL) in Paloncha, Bhadradri Kothagudem could significantly enhance the state’s economy and industrial sector.
