Minister asserts Bonalu festival as a display of Telangana’s affluent culture

The Bonalu festival is coming up on June 22 in Telangana, and Animal Husbandry Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav says the government will be celebrating it in a big way. The festival will start at Golkonda Fort, and the Minister met with officials to discuss plans for the festival and make sure it goes smoothly. The government has set aside Rs.15 crores for the Bonalu Festival celebrations in the twin cities, with Rs 10 lakhs going to the Golkonda festival.

Officials were given instructions to make sure everything is set up properly, including barricades, power supply, security, drinking water, CC cameras and cleanliness at the temples. Special buses will be provided to Golkonda Fort on the day of the festival for devotees, and there will be enough police personnel to keep things under control. MLA Kausar Mohiuddin and other senior officials attended the meeting.
