The festival will start at Golkonda Fort, and the Minister met with officials to discuss plans for the festival and make sure it goes smoothly. The government has set aside Rs.15 crores for the Bonalu Festival celebrations in the twin cities, with Rs 10 lakhs going to the Golkonda festival.

Officials were given instructions to make sure everything is set up properly, including barricades, power supply, security, drinking water, CC cameras and cleanliness at the temples.
