Ministers meet to improve rare earths supply chains

Hyderabad: On Tuesday, Union Minister G Kishan Reddy revealed that a meeting was held focusing on Rare Earth and Critical Minerals. This gathering included Union Minister H D Kumaraswamy and representatives from various ministries such as Atomic Energy, Steel, Heavy Industries, and Commerce.

Reddy shared the news via social media. He mentioned that the meeting discussed ways to secure the supply chains for these minerals. These resources are essential for the electronics sector, energy, and national security.

The discussions aimed to improve the value chain, covering everything from mining to refining and final use. Reddy informed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about these developments. The government has launched the National Critical Mineral Mission (NCMM) and is using a comprehensive approach to make India self-sufficient in these important minerals.
