Secunderabad Cantonment Merger Discussions Underway
Hyderabad: Secunderabad Cantonment MLA Sriganesh met Telangana Chief Secretary Santhi Kumari on Friday to discuss the ongoing process and current status of merging the Secunderabad Cantonment into the Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC).
During the meeting, they focused on key issues to be addressed in an upcoming video conference scheduled for December 4, 2024. This conference will involve the Joint Secretary of Lands and Works from the Ministry of Defence.
MLA Sriganesh shared that the Chief Secretary clarified the State government’s position on the matter. She stated that the Telangana government is fully prepared for the merger and will convey its readiness during the discussion with the Defence Ministry.
