Mobile snatchers gang apprehended in Hyderabad

The Hyderabad city police caught seven members of a gang involved in stealing mobile phones, including five young members. The arrested individuals are Kante Jhonson, also known as Kongti Johnson, Mohd Sohail, and five Child in Conflict with Law (CCL) members. They were caught at Chilkalguda X Roads in Gopalapuram during a vehicle check. The police found one auto rickshaw and six mobile phones in their possession.

The police received a complaint from Roshan Kumar Gupta, a cook at Pista House on SD Road in Secunderabad, who was from Jharkhand. He reported that on March 23 around 1:30 am, while walking near Clock Tower in Secunderabad, the accused individuals approached him in an auto-rickshaw and snatched his Redmi Note 7 Pro mobile phone before speeding away towards Secunderabad railway station. After investigating the complaint, the police arrested the gang on March 25 during a vehicle check in Gopalapuram.

The gang confessed to committing crimes in various areas like Clock Tower in Secunderabad, Bowenpally, Balanagar, Fatehnagar Bridge, Balanagar, and Begumpet. They used the stolen auto rickshaw to commit these offences.
