Motorists in Telangana warned by police about counterfeit websites for e-challan payments
Text Size: 100%

The Telangana government recently announced a big discount to clear pending challans. However, cybercriminals have taken advantage of this by creating fake websites like www.echallantspolice.in to deceive vehicle owners.

The police have warned that payment should not be made on this site, and instead, challans can be cleared at Paytm and Me-Seva centers. The discount offer has received a great response from motorists, and it will continue until the 10th of this month.

Unfortunately, cybercriminals are taking advantage of this opportunity to collect challans through a fake website and steal money from motorists. Officials have alerted motorists through social media, urging them not to visit these fake websites or make any payments.
