Ketepally, Nalgonda: With increasing water levels at the Musi Project, officials have opened four crest gates—numbers 2, 3, 7, and 8—by two feet each. This action has released 1200 cusecs of water into the river below.
The full reservoir level of the Moosi Project is 645 feet, and the current level is at 643.30 feet. The reservoir can store up to 4.46 TMCs of water, and it currently holds 4.02 TMCs.
Inflows into the reservoir are at 4136.66 cusecs, while outflows have reached 4734.99 cusecs.
To manage water supply and support irrigation, water is also being released through the canal systems. The right canal is releasing about 119.47 cusecs, and the left canal is releasing 215.05 cusecs.
Officials are closely monitoring the situation to ensure the reservoir’s safety and to meet irrigation needs in the area.
