A new bridge has been opened in Kalasiguda, Hyderabad by Minister Talasani Srinivas Yadav. The bridge was built to help solve the problem of flooding in surrounding areas during the monsoon season. Before the bridge was built, areas like Sindhi Colony, Rasoolpura, Minister Road, and parts of Cantonment suffered from flooding, but with the remodeling of the bridge on Picket Nala and the improvement of Kalasiguda Nala through SNDP in GHMC, the problem has been solved.

The SNDP project was initiated by MA&UD Minister K.Taraka Rama Rao throughout the city, with several projects undertaken to solve the problem of inundation. Works taken up under SNDP included widening and raising the height of nala bridges to allow for easy flow of water, providing relief from flooding during monsoon season in many areas of the city.

Previously, rainwater and sewerage water from surrounding areas flowed through the nala, causing flooding during monsoon season. However, with the completion of the SNDP project, this problem has been permanently solved. Corporator Maheshwari, Zonal Commissioner (SZ) Srinivas Reddy, SNDP C.E Kishan, SE Bhaskar Reddy, EE Sreedhar, and other senior officials participated in the program.
