Nitin Gadkari will visit the state on May 5

Hyderabad: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways, Nitin Gadkari, will visit Hyderabad and Adilabad on May 5 to inaugurate and lay the foundation for several major development projects.

The Union Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, working with the Telangana State Roads and Buildings Department (NH Wing), is pushing forward many important national highway projects across Telangana.

These projects focus on building economic corridors, boosting tourism, improving connectivity, and supporting the overall growth of the state.

As part of this effort, about 285 kilometers of national highways, built at a cost of nearly Rs 6,280 crore, will be officially opened by Nitin Gadkari and Union Minister for Coal and Mines G Kishan Reddy.

Along with inaugurations, Nitin Gadkari will also lay foundation stones for two new highway projects covering 51 kilometers, with a total budget of Rs 961 crore.

The ceremonies will happen at two main locations — first in Adilabad district, and then in Hyderabad.

In Adilabad, Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate several completed projects, including:

Nirmal-Khanapur road in Nirmal District
Mancherial-Repallewada road in Mancherial District
Repallewada to Maharashtra border road in Asifabad District
– A completed six-lane underpass at Kadthal
Service roads and junction upgrades at eight points on the Nagpur-Hyderabad section of NH-44 in Nirmal, Nizamabad, and Kamareddy districts

He will also lay the foundation stone for more developments in Adilabad, including:

– A six-lane underpass at Gudihatnur
– A 1.4 km service road and retaining wall near Mavala check post
– A six-lane underpass at Sitagondi
Service roads and underpasses at Mupkal Crossroads, CMC Junction, and Chittapur Junction on the Nagpur-Hyderabad NH-44 stretch

In Hyderabad, Nitin Gadkari will inaugurate:

– A six-lane, 10 km road between Aramgarh and Shamshabad on NH-44
– A flyover at Amberpet on NH-202
– A flyover at BHEL Junction on NH-65
– A six-lane underpass and service road at Reddypalli Junction in Medak District
– A six-lane underpass and service road at Zaptisivanoor village and Golden Dhaba Y Junction in Medak District, both on NH-44

Additionally, Nitin Gadkari will lay the foundation stones for highway upgrades at:

Kekumatla and Dharmojiguda on the Hyderabad-Vijayawada route
Balanagar on the Hyderabad-Bengaluru route
Ankushpur and Ghatkesar junctions on the Hyderabad-Yadagiri section of NH-163
Komatapally and Vallur junctions on the Nagpur-Hyderabad section of NH-44

These projects are expected to improve travel, boost trade, and help the economy grow across Telangana.
