Even those with limited means often prefer private hospitals over government ones. However, a district official, Jitesh V Patil, chose a government hospital for his wife’s delivery, sending a strong message to the community.
On Wednesday at 10 am, Sradha Patil, wife of Bhadradri Kothagudem Collector Jitesh V Patil, delivered a healthy baby boy at the Community Health Centre (CHC) in Palvoncha. This is their second child, as confirmed by Doctor Ravikumar.
In a statement to the media, Collector Jitesh V Patil thanked the healthcare team and expressed his joy, noting the significance of having their child in the Kothagudem district. This decision highlights support for government health services, similar to previous instances where officials like D Anudeep, VP Gautham, and Sunil Dutt also chose government hospitals for their families’ deliveries.
Health Minister D Rajanarasimha and Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy congratulated the couple, praising their choice of a government hospital.
