    The government is conducting the agriculture census this year. Preparations are being made to carry out the census at the district level. A training program was held for agriculture department officials, statistical officers, and planning officers. The District Collector attended the program and emphasized the importance of agriculture for planning and policy formulation. The census will collect information on the number of farmers, types of farming, water consumption, and agricultural machinery. The census will be conducted at the field level with the help of surveying officers. A committee has been formed for agricultural enumeration. Farmers are encouraged to diversify their crops and cultivate profitable ones. Training was given on information collection for the census. Various officials from different departments participated in the program.
