Nandamuri Balakrishna and Jr NTR paid respects to NT Rama Rao at NTR Ghat in Hyderabad on May 28, which marked the 100th birth anniversary of the former Andhra Pradesh chief minister. Balakrishna, who is also a Tollywood actor and TDP MLA, expressed his gratitude for being NTR’s son and mentioned that the birth centenary is being celebrated worldwide. He also praised NTR’s welfare schemes, including the two rupees per kg rice initiative and the law allowing women to own property. Jr NTR took to Twitter to pay tribute to his grandfather. NTR founded TDP in 1982 and served as Andhra Pradesh’s three-time chief minister before passing away in 1996.
