Hyderabad recently hosted a vibrant event, the five-day D Sons Patola Art Exhibition, at the Labels Pop-up Space on Road No. 1, Banjara Hills. On Sunday, well-known socialite Ananya Simlai officially opened the exhibition.
During her speech, Ananya expressed joy at seeing a wide array of apparel showcased together. The exhibition highlights the intricate Patola art sarees, authentic handloom pieces, and beautiful silk products.
Visitors can explore a diverse selection of traditional textiles and handmade crafts from across India. Featured items include Patan Patola, Bandhani, Banarasi, Paithani, Zari Kota, Pure Kashmiri, Kantha, Tussar Silk, and Pure Organza. Additionally, Ajrak sarees, Lucknowi saris and suits, kurtis, dress materials, jewellery, and bedsheets are also on display.
The event organizers informed the media that the exhibition will continue until January 29. Their main goal is to promote weavers, support artisans, and create a sustainable market for handloom products. By holding such exhibitions, they aim to provide significant opportunities to strengthen the handloom industry and enhance artisans’ livelihoods.
