Hyderabad: On Thursday, State Director-General of Police Dr. Jitender highlighted that people want to live in a safe and peaceful environment. He stressed the importance of fair and efficient investigations to build public trust and ensure justice for victims. Dr. Jitender led a review meeting with district police officers at the Kamareddy DPO. He spoke individually with CIs and SDOs to understand the current state of policing in their areas. He assessed major cases, preventive actions, and crime reduction efforts.
Superintendent of Police M. Rajesh Chandra shared a report on the district’s law and order status using a presentation. He focused on priority cases, crime investigation progress, public service efforts, and specific challenges that the police are tackling. Dr. Jitender emphasized proactive policing and community involvement. He stated, “The main goal of policing is to make people feel safe and secure. Trust in the police leads to peaceful communities.”
Dr. Jitender urged officers to monitor repeat offenders, particularly in property crimes, and to use intelligence-driven strategies to prevent crime.
