The Commissioner of Police in Warangal, AV Ranganath, has been praised for his fair and transparent approach to resolving grievances. His tough stance against wrongdoers, regardless of their political affiliation, has brought him fame. The Prajavani grievance cell, which is conducted by the Commissioner, has seen a recent increase in people seeking redressal. Due to the high number of petitions, Ranganath has made changes to the system and now wants people to approach their local police stations first before escalating their concerns. In cases of emergency, people can reach out to the Commissioner through WhatsApp. Ranganath assures that all grievances will be addressed based on their importance and they will call petitioners to make appointments instead of having them wait at the Commissionerate. The Commissioner is also conducting a grievance redressal programme in Jangaon on May 11th.
