Police Officers in Hyderabad Suspended for Engaging in Corrupt Behavior

The Hyderabad City police commissioner suspended three constables from Mangalhat police station for corrupt activities. Two head constables were also sent to headquarters. The suspended constables were Mahender Yadav, Tilak Raj, and Shravan, while the head constables were Narendar and Srinivas. They were accused of colluding with criminals and taking a share of crime proceeds.

An enquiry was initiated by police higher-ups after receiving information about the corrupt activities. The Hyderabad Police commissioner took action against the constables and head constables. Recent investigations revealed that officers in different police stations in south west and south Hyderabad were involved in illegal activities with PDS rice and wheat mafia, illegal liquor outlets, and rowdy sheeters. There were also complaints about police settling civil issues with the help of local leaders.

Overall, the local constables, head constables, and sub-inspectors were found to be engaging in corrupt practices. The suspension of the three constables and transfer of two head constables is part of the crackdown on corruption within the police force.
