Gadwal: On Tuesday night, district SP T Srinivasa Rao led a major vehicle inspection at YSR Chowk, a significant spot in Gadwal town. This operation involved 40 police officers and staff. The police checked vehicle documents, conducted drunk-driving tests, and looked for traffic rule violations. SP Srinivasa Rao explained to the media that this effort is part of routine law and order checks. They focused on verifying vehicle papers, using breathalyzers, issuing fines for traffic violations, and seizing vehicles without proper documents.

YSR Chowk is strategically important since it is close to the interstate border, making it a vital area for monitoring. The operation inspected 55 vehicles, registered four drunk-driving cases, and seized 23 vehicles lacking number plates or valid papers. The checks were to continue until midnight.

Led by DSP Y Mogilayya, CI Tanguturi Srinu, Town SI Kalyan Kumar, and other officers, including traffic and Darur-Maldakal SIs with 35 police personnel, this initiative aims to enhance road safety, reduce accidents, and prevent crime by ensuring a strong police presence in the area.
