Hyderabad: Revenue Minister Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy criticized former CM K Chandrasekhar Rao for abandoning the Telangana sentiment that initially propelled him to power. Speaking at a rally in Secunderabad Cantonment with party candidate N Sri Ganesh, Ponguleti expressed doubt that people would be swayed by KCR’s claims of being a champion of Telangana.

Ponguleti argued that KCR, who rose to power on the back of the Telangana sentiment, had veered away from the movement’s original goals and instead embraced authoritarian rule that silenced opposition voices. Now that KCR is out of power, he is trying to revive the Telangana sentiment, but Ponguleti believes people are not going to be deceived this time.
