Hyderabad: Marking World Creativity and Innovation Day, the Power Scarf Awards was held in Hyderabad, bringing together a diverse group of women entrepreneurs, innovators, and ecosystem enablers for an evening focused on originality, resilience, and impact.
The initiative was conceptualized by M HerMaiden Store in association with the Telangana Innovation Cell (TGIC). The idea, as shared by Musharaf Hussain and Mubasshir Hussain, was to recognize individuals who are not just building careers but creating new paths for others.
“Everyone builds. But only a few create paths for others,” they noted, setting the tone for an event that focused more on meaningful journeys than conventional recognition.
Highlighting Untold Journeys
The Power Scarf Awards stood out by bringing forward stories that often remain unnoticed—women navigating career breaks, time constraints, approvals, and access challenges, yet continuing to build with consistency and originality.
The initiative is part of the broader platform HerMaiden Story, which aims to document and celebrate real-life journeys of women across different sectors.
Voices from Across the Ecosystem
Speakers including Vandana Sharma, Namrata Swargari, Sana Afreen, and Mitalee Agrawal shared insights on innovation, ownership of ideas, and the realities of building something meaningful in today’s environment.
Representing the broader ecosystem, Sahil Suman from TGIC and Auszad Shaik, Vice President – Logistics and Supply Chain, Government of Telangana, spoke about the growing role of women-led innovation and the importance of supportive platforms and policy frameworks.
More Than Just an Event
With an intimate gathering of around 60 participants, the event created a space that went beyond networking. It became a platform where experiences were exchanged, ideas were discussed, and new directions began to take shape.
The approach focused on depth over scale, encouraging open conversations and meaningful engagement among participants.
The event took place on April 21, 2026, at Draper Startup House, Gachibowli, Hyderabad, as part of the global observance of World Creativity and Innovation Day.
The Power Scarf Awards reflects a growing shift in Hyderabad’s ecosystem—where recognition is not just about achievements, but about creating impact, enabling others, and building something original.
