Thousands of people gathered at Jyothirao Phule Praja Bhavan for the ‘Praja Darbar’ event. They came from all over the state to submit their issues and requests, such as problems with land, ration cards, and the need for housing. However, the Chief Minister, A Revanth Reddy, couldn’t attend on the second day due to the Assembly being in session.

In the morning, people stood in long queues with copies of their requests, hoping to meet the Chief Minister. As the day went on, the rush cleared up. Those with written representations were allowed to enter the building and submit their requests to the nodal officer. Media was not allowed inside due to some previous issues.

The revival of ‘Praja Darbar’ has brought hope to many people, including those who traveled from far-flung areas of the state. Farmers who have been affected by land reforms and Dharani also came to submit their representations.

Visitors without proper documents were turned away, but they were given the option to write a complaint or grievance instead. This event was a new experience for many of the policemen present, although some senior officers recalled similar events happening during YSR’s time.
