President Droupadi Murmu attended a spirituality congregation called ‘Global Spirituality Mahotsav’ at Kanha Shanti Vanam, the headquarters of Heartfulness in Hyderabad. The summit, organized by the Ministry of Culture, aims to bring together spiritual leaders from different faiths to promote collective human consciousness.
The theme of the summit is “Inner Peace to World Peace”, focusing on interfaith dialogues and helping people of all ages and backgrounds connect with spirituality in their daily lives. A special anthem song titled ‘Inner Peace to World Peace’ was also launched during the summit.
During her visit, President Murmu toured the summit stalls with Uma Nanduri, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Culture, and praised the legacy of the Heartfulness Mission. She highlighted the contributions of spiritual icons like Mahavir, Ravidas, and Gurunanak in shaping India as a spiritual hub. Murmu commended the efforts to promote harmony among people with different beliefs and congratulated Daaji for expanding the Heartfulness movement globally.
In her speech, President Murmu emphasized the importance of promoting inner peace to achieve world peace, echoing the ideals of Ahimsa and Compassion taught by ancient Indian sages. She expressed her delight at the collaboration between the Ministry of Culture and Heartfulness in organizing the Global Spiritual Mahotsav with a focus on unity and peace.
