Jammikunta (Karimnagar): On Saturday, a meeting took place at New Millennium School in Jammikunta with leaders from private schools in the joint Karimnagar and Warangal districts. The main focus was on unpaid dues owed to these schools over the past few years.

The schools decided to take a non-cooperation approach, similar to what intermediate and degree colleges have done. Yadagiri Sekhar Rao, the former head of the State Private School Owners Association, attended as the guest of honor. He mentioned that a plan of action would be shared within two days. About fifty school representatives voiced their worries about the financial strain these dues are causing on school operations and student welfare. They warned that reopening schools after the Dasara break might not be possible, especially for students in the BOSS scheme. Parents are anxious about their children’s uncertain futures and are asking district officials, ministers, and public leaders to step in and resolve the issue quickly.

The school leaders stated that if payments are not made by September 18, they will decide on their next steps. Vocational and junior degree colleges are supporting the schools’ protest.
