Heavy rain has caused a major traffic jam on National Highway No. 44 in Kamareddy district. This has led to long delays, affecting the flow of vehicles. The traffic has been slow for over an hour, with cars moving slowly from Hyderabad to Adilabad along a stretch of about 15 kilometers, from Sadashivanagar mandal to the Bhikanur toll gate.
Rains on Wednesday and Thursday have forced the closure of a bridge at Tekriyala and Sarampalli. In addition, part of the road has been washed away elsewhere, worsening the situation. As a result, traffic has been severely disrupted since Wednesday.
Superintendent of Police Rajesh Chandra is closely monitoring the situation, particularly as many vehicles were stuck on Thursday night. Drivers and passengers are frustrated by the ongoing traffic problems and are calling for quick repairs to the damaged roads.
