The southwest monsoon has now covered the entire country, bringing rain and overcast skies to Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. This weather change is due to a low-pressure area in the southwest, although the Meteorological Department says this system is slowly losing strength.
Despite the weakening low-pressure, rain is expected for the next three days in both states. Moderate to heavy showers are likely, with wind speeds between 30 and 40 km/h.
In Telangana, the low-pressure area is still influencing the weather. The Meteorological Centre predicts rain for 18 districts, with possible thunderstorms and lightning. Almost every district in the state might see rainfall.
In Andhra Pradesh, the weather will be mostly cloudy, with some sun in the morning. Light rain might occur in the evening in some places, but most areas will stay dry. On Saturday, light to moderate rain is expected in Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Parvathipuram Manyam, Alluri Sitharamaraju, East Godavari, Eluru, and NTR districts. Light rain is also forecast for Nandyal, Kurnool, and Visakhapatnam, with other districts possibly experiencing some showers, as noted by the Meteorological Department.
