A surface depression has formed over the west-central and northwest Bay of Bengal, impacting the northern Andhra Pradesh coast and the southern Odisha coast. This system is situated at heights between 5.8 and 7.6 km above sea level. Another depression is present over southern Jharkhand and nearby regions at altitudes from 3.1 to 7.6 km. The Meteorological Department forecasts that winds will likely blow from the west and southwest in Telangana.
Officials have issued warnings for light rain with thunder and lightning in some Telangana districts today and tomorrow. Moderate rains with thunder and lightning are expected in isolated spots in Adilabad, Komarambhim, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Karimnagar, Peddapalli, Jayashankar Bhupalapally, Mulugu, Bhadradri Kothagudem, Khammam, Rangareddy, Hyderabad, Medchal Malkajgiri, and Kamareddy.
In Andhra Pradesh, the Meteorological Department predicts light to moderate rains in several places in the Parvatipuram Manyam district due to the surface circulation. Light rain is also expected in districts such as Srikakulam, Vizianagaram, Alluri Seetharamaraju, Anakapalle, Kakinada, Eluru, Krishna, Guntur, Bapatla, Nellore, Anantapur, Sri Sathya Sai, YSR Kadapa, Annamayya, Chittoor, and Tirupati.
