Hyderabad Meteorological Centre reported a new low-pressure system forming in the northwest Bay of Bengal. This system is likely to move towards north Odisha and Chhattisgarh.
A weather trough now stretches from the northwest Arabian Sea along south Gujarat, through Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh, reaching the low-pressure area. This trough is located between 1.5 km and 7.6 km above sea level.
Due to these weather patterns, Telangana is set to experience light to moderate rain along with thunderstorms, lightning, and strong winds over the next three days. Wind speeds might hit 30 to 40 km/h.
The Meteorological Department warns of heavy rain in districts like Adilabad, Kumurambheem Asifabad, Mancherial, Nirmal, Nizamabad, Jagtial, Rajanna Sircilla, Jayashankar Bhupalpally, Mulugu, and Bhadradri Kothagudem. Light to moderate rain is expected in other districts, prompting a yellow alert for this period.
