Bhajan Lal Sharma, Chief Minister of Rajasthan, commended Pravasi Rajasthanis for spreading the state’s culture worldwide. He expressed his appreciation during a meeting in Hyderabad.
Sharma pointed out that Rajasthanis overseas excel in their careers and contribute significantly to social causes. He emphasized the state government’s initiatives to attract investments, which are crucial for economic growth.
The Chief Minister encouraged the diaspora to invest in Rajasthan, inviting them to play a role in the state’s progress and development.
At the Rising Rajasthan Global Investment Summit 2024, it was announced that Pravasi Rajasthani Diwas will be celebrated every year on 10 December. The first event will be held on this date in Jaipur, and Sharma invited all overseas Rajasthanis to join.
During the event, Sharma honored notable expatriate Rajasthanis for their outstanding social service. He also introduced the Rajasthan Foundation Chapter Membership to strengthen connections with the global community. A short film highlighting the achievements of Pravasi Rajasthanis added an emotional touch to the gathering.
Earlier, Sharma was welcomed by State BJP chief N. Ramachander and visited T-Hub, a leading innovation center in Hyderabad. They explored various startup projects, highlighting Rajasthan’s dedication to technological advancement and youth entrepreneurship.
The visit emphasized Rajasthan’s focus on using innovation and entrepreneurship for development. Sharma praised T-Hub’s model and stressed the need to adopt similar approaches to empower young innovators across India.
Sharma mentioned that Pravasi Rajasthani Meets will continue in various locations to enhance bonds with the global Rajasthani diaspora.
He also stated that Rajasthan is reaching new development milestones. During the Global Investment Summit, agreements worth Rs 35 lakh crore were signed, with Rs 7 lakh crore already in progress. “We aim to transform Rajasthan into a 350-billion-dollar economy,” he added.
