Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will attend the ‘Hyderabad Liberation Day’ event at Parade Ground on Wednesday. This event marks the 1948 merger of the Nizam-ruled Hyderabad State with India.
Rajnath Singh reached Hyderabad on Tuesday. He received a warm welcome from Union Minister G Kishan Reddy.
Union Culture Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Union Coal and Mines Minister G Kishan Reddy, and Union MoS (Home) Bandi Sanjay Kumar will also join the celebration, according to BJP sources.
Telangana BJP president N Ramchander Rao highlighted Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel’s key role in unifying Hyderabad with India. He encouraged citizens to attend the Parade Ground event. The Central government has hosted ‘Liberation Day’ for several years, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah attending in 2023.
