Hyderabad: Tensions are rising between the Andhra Pradesh and Telangana governments over projects like the Polavaram-Banakacherla link irrigation project. Chief Minister Revanth Reddy has vowed to protect Telangana’s interests in sharing Godavari and Krishna river waters.

During the Independence Day event at Golconda Fort, the Chief Minister criticized the previous BRS government for failing to secure Telangana’s rightful water share.

“Our government will ensure Telangana gets its fair share of water from the Godavari and Krishna rivers,” he stated. He promised to address past oversights with a strategic approach. All pending projects will be expedited to supply irrigation water to drought-affected districts.
