After the Lok Sabha elections, the Telangana government led by Chief Minister Revanth Reddy is now focusing on important projects in the state. One such project is the repairs needed at the Medigadda barrages in the Kaleswaram project.
Today, Chief Minister Revanth Reddy will hold a crucial review meeting at 2.30 pm at the Secretariat to discuss the repairs required at the Medigadda barrages. The meeting will be attended by Irrigation Minister Uttam Kumar Reddy and Principal Secretaries of the Irrigation Department.
The main agenda of the meeting is to approve repairs at the Medigadda, Annaram, and Sundilla barrages. An expert committee appointed by the central government has already submitted a report on the repairs needed. Urgent repairs are planned before the monsoon season, with an estimated cost of around 100 crore rupees.
