Farmers in Atmakur (M) in Yadadri-Bhongir district locked the sub-market gate on Friday due to delays in grain procurement. The grain purchase center opened 45 days ago has bought 29,241 bags from 80 farmers, with 7,000 sacks still waiting to be purchased from 40 farmers.

Despite bringing their grain to the center 40 days ago, officials have not yet collected it. In frustration, the farmers protested by locking the sub-market gate and demonstrating. Farmers Bisu Chander Goud, Maktala Husthen, Kore Ashok, and others participated in the protest.
