In Khammam, the Integrated Tribal Development Agency (ITDA) PO Prateek Jain is working to address issues in educational institutions run by ITDA. Problems like lack of light and ventilation, dirty restrooms, broken floor tiles, and malfunctioning equipment are being identified and fixed within a set timeframe. Headmasters are now empowered to make necessary purchases and conduct maintenance.
Officials are focused on ensuring that ashram schools and dormitories have proper amenities before the next academic session starts. This is the first time a PO officer at this level has taken such steps to address issues in 10 ashram schools and 8 hostels in Khammam district, as well as 50 ashram schools and 18 hostels in Bhadradri Kothagudem district.
Special heads have been assigned to adopt educational institutions and identify challenges. They work with engineers, ATDOs, and principals to address issues quickly and efficiently. In the past, bunkers were used for students, but now alternative measures are in place to ensure proper ventilation and comfort.
Over 3,500 high-quality fans and 4,500 tubelights have been installed in educational facilities. Tribal people are grateful for PO ITDA Prateek Jain’s efforts in improving education and addressing long-standing issues in these institutions.
