Hyderabad: Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy honored former Prime Minister PV Narasimha Rao on his birth anniversary, June 28. Known for his linguistic skills and writing, Rao played a crucial role in India’s economic reforms.
Reddy highlighted Rao’s transformative economic policies that spurred growth across various sectors. These reforms laid the groundwork for India’s current $5 trillion economy.
Reddy also noted Rao’s contributions to education, such as the establishment of Navodaya Vidyalayas. As Education Minister in the former united Andhra Pradesh, Rao initiated Gurukul education by founding Residential Schools. Inspired by Rao, the People’s Government revamped the state’s education system.
