In the IPL 2023 final between the Gujarat Titans and Chennai Super Kings, Sai Sudharsan played an impressive knock. He scored 96 runs off just 46 balls, hitting eight fours and six sixes. This helped his team post a total of 214/4 in 20 overs. Shubman Gill scored 39 runs and Wriddhiman Saha was out for 54.
Sachin Tendulkar praised Sudharsan’s performance, calling it a “treat to the eye”. Former cricketer Virender Sehwag also praised him, saying Chennai would need to bat well to chase their total.
Sudharsan recovered well from a slow start and accelerated after the 14th over, hitting three fours and a six off Deshpande and two sixes against Theekshana. He smacked 60 runs in the next 21 balls he faced, but was out in the final over, just four runs short of a century.
