    The Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Maha Jatara, also known as the Telangana Kumbh Mela, started with a lot of devotees coming to pay their respects. The festival is famous as the biggest tribal festival in Asia. On the second day, everyone is excited about the main event that shows an important moment in the sacred rituals.

    Today, there will be a special ritual where Sammakka’s symbolic journey to the spiritual world will be acted out, representing the passing of Sammakka’s mother. Officials are expecting more devotees to come because of the spiritual significance of this important event.

    The core of the festival is bringing Sammakka from Chilakala Gutta to Medaram, where she will be placed on a throne as saffron barani. Government officials like the local MLA and Minister Seethakka will invite everyone, while the District SP and Collectors will start the festivities with celebratory shots and blessings.

    Medaram has turned into a lively fair, with devotees taking part in sacred rituals and traditions. Recent sad events like the passing of Saralamma, Padigidda Raju, and Govinda Raju have added a serious tone to the festival, highlighting its spiritual depth.

    Devotees are doing purifying rituals like bathing in Jampannavagu to pray and seek blessings from the goddesses. The Medaram Sammakka Saralamma Maha Jatara will end on the 24th of this month, with Samakka and Saralamma symbolically returning to the forest, finishing this important and spiritually fulfilling festival.
