Senior Aam Aadmi Party leader and Rajya Sabha MP, Sanjay Singh, stated that even if the Central Government manages to pass the GNCTD Bill in the Lok Sabha, the opposition has enough votes in the Rajya Sabha to defeat the Bill. Singh emphasized that this Bill goes against the decision of the Supreme Court, the Constitution, and the federal structure of the country. He pointed out that this Bill is unconstitutional as it takes away the rights of the elected Chief Minister of Delhi. Singh also mentioned that a no-confidence motion is pending in Parliament, which is an unprecedented situation.

Regarding the Bill, Sanjay Singh tweeted that it is another BJP tactic to target Chief Minister Kejriwal. He shared how he was suspended by the BJP before introducing the Bill and urged the Prime Minister to have a direct discussion in the House. Singh criticized the language used in the Bill, stating that it resembles the black Ordinance previously introduced by the BJP. He assured that all MPs from Team INDIA will strongly oppose the Bill.
