Hyderabad: Over the weekend, the State Bank of India (SBI) launched a large-scale cyber fraud awareness campaign across Telangana. This major initiative aimed to educate various communities about protecting their personal and financial data.
The campaign reached over 40 public places such as parks, metro stations, indoor stadiums, supermarkets, panchayat offices, schools, and pensioners’ associations. General Manager Sateesh Kumar and Deputy General Manager Bipin K Singh led the event alongside regional, assistant, and branch managers.
More than 1,000 SBI staff members took part in educating the public on the increasing risks of cyber fraud. They emphasized the need to secure personal and financial information.
The sessions included engaging activities, featuring educational audio and video content shown on large screens to grab people’s attention. They also handed out pamphlets with simple safety tips for online security. Live demonstrations explained common fraud tactics, helping attendees identify and react to potential threats.
Throughout the event, attendees received practical advice and tools to help them avoid becoming victims of scams.
