Kothagudem: Singareni CMD N Balaram is pleased with the company’s performance in the first quarter of the financial year. The company achieved 100% of its coal transportation goals and 99% of its coal production targets.
From April to June, Singareni aimed to transport 160 lakh tonnes of coal but exceeded this by moving 166 lakh tonnes, achieving 103% of its goal. The production target was 160 lakh tonnes, and the company produced 159.9 lakh tonnes, reaching 99% of its target.
On Saturday, from Singareni Bhavan in Hyderabad, the CMD reviewed the quarter’s progress with company directors and general managers. He emphasized the need to maintain open cast mine production during the rainy season.
For July, he set goals to transport 2.15 lakh tonnes of coal daily and produce 1.80 lakh tonnes. He also requested that the VK open cast mine in Kothagudem, which has obtained all necessary permissions, hold its ground-breaking ceremony by the end of the month, ensuring proper arrangements for the event.
The CMD instructed that coal from this site be efficiently transported to the Chandipada railway siding. Directors D Satyanarayana Rao, LV Suryanarayana, K Venkateswarlu, Gautam Potru, along with ED SDM Subhani, Advisor Mohan Parigen, GM A Manohar, and other corporate and area GMs participated in the meeting.
