A meeting was held today at the Mahadev Temple in Gulzar Houz to discuss improving security in the area. The main focus was on the installation of CCTV cameras. The session was led by Sri. Shaik Jahangir, the Additional Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) for the South Zone. He was joined by Sri. P. Chandra Shekar, the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) for the Charminar Division, and K. Chandra Sekhar, the Inspector of Police from Charminar Police Station.
Several members of the local jeweler community attended the meeting. This included about 31 jewelry shop owners. Key members of the jeweler association, such as the President, Secretary, Joint Secretary, Treasurer, and other Executive Members, were also present.
During the meeting, there was an open discussion about security concerns in the area. A significant part of the conversation focused on the need to improve surveillance to make the area safer. The police and the local jewelers worked together to find solutions to the security issues affecting the business community.
This initiative highlights the Hyderabad police’s commitment to making important commercial areas safer. As the busy market district of Charminar continues to attract many visitors and shoppers, these security measures aim to protect both shop owners and customers.
