Silk sarees worth Rs 2.25 crore seized by flying squad in Hyderabad

The Quthbullapur constituency flying squad team in Hyderabad raided a building in Bachupally and found a large amount of sarees. The team received reliable information and decided to search Panchavati Apartment. They discovered a truck parked outside the building and decided to investigate further. The team questioned the laborers and learned that there were a significant number of sarees stored in two flats within the building.

A total of 743 bags filled with silk sarees were seized from the two flats. The value of the sarees is estimated to be around Rs 2.25 crore. The officials took possession of both the truck and the sarees. Currently, an investigation is underway. Two individuals present at the site claimed that they bought the sarees from Warangal. The police suspect that these sarees were intended for distribution to voters before the upcoming elections.
