Hyderabad saw a joint celebration by the Public Relations Society of India, Hyderabad Chapter and Dr CVN Foundation for “National Public Relations Education Day.” This event, held at the KLN Prasad Auditorium in FTCCI, Red Hills, honored the 93rd birth anniversary of the late Dr. C.V. Narshima Reddi on August 6, 2025.
Prof. Chakrapani, Vice Chancellor of Dr BR Ambedkar Open University, spoke to the attendees. As the Chief Guest and Keynote Speaker, he praised Dr CVN Reddy for his significant impact on the PR field. He emphasized that public relations is crucial for clearing up misunderstandings caused by misinformation. An interdisciplinary approach in PR education is essential today, he noted.
Companies should adopt public relations for seamless operations, Prof. Chakrapani advised. He remarked that PR professionals have become versatile experts.
Prof Venkata Ramana, Director of the National Institute of Tourism and Hospitality Management (NITHM), remembered Dr. Reddy for his ever-present smile, a key trait for PR experts.
Prof. Chakrapani awarded the “Dr.CVN-PRSI Best PR Manager National Award of the Year 2023” to Shri SDM Subhani, Chief Public Relations Officer at SCCL, Hyderabad. Shri Ramkumar Singaram, Director of Catalyst Public Relations Pvt Ltd., Chennai, received a Jury Certificate of Appreciation.
The event also celebrated outstanding achievements in PR education. Awards were distributed to the best PR teachers, counselors, and students.
Speakers highlighted the importance of effective communication and positive PR in daily life. They lauded Dr CV Narasimha Reddi for his invaluable contributions to PR.
Among those addressing the gathering were Dr Ajit Pathak, PRSI National President, Shri U.S. Sharma, National Vice President (South), and Shri Y. Babji, Editor of PR Voice. Shri C. Ravinder Reddy, Smt C. Rama Devi, and Dr. Yadagiri Kambhamtati also spoke.
A “PR in Schools” initiative was launched to promote positivity through public relations. Around 200 PR and corporate communication experts attended the celebrations.
