The Collector of Gadwal announced that they will be growing cotton in 1.5 lakh acres and chilli in one lakh acres. They spoke with the agriculture minister during a video conference and explained that task force meetings have been set up to teach farmers how to prevent fake seeds. Checkpoints have been established in border areas to stop fake seeds from entering.

The district will have enough seeds for the upcoming monsoon season and surprise inspections will be conducted at the field level. Officials are also taking action against fake seeds by gathering information from farmers. Unfortunately, some officials are taking money from shops and seed ginning mill-owners.
