Telangana Assembly Speaker Visits Historic Alampur Temple
Gaddam Prasad Kumar, the Speaker of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, recently visited the famous Sri Jogulamba Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy Temple in Alampur. This sacred site is often called the Kashi of the South and holds deep spiritual importance.
The temple is one of the 18 Maha Shakti Peethas and stands out as the only Shakti Peeth located in Telangana. It attracts thousands of devotees seeking blessings and spiritual peace.
On his arrival at Alampur, the Speaker received a warm welcome at the Haritha Hotel. District Collector B.M. Santosh, District SP T. Srinivasa Rao, and Alampur MLA Vijayudu greeted him. The local police also honored him with a traditional guard of honor.
Joined by his family, Gaddam Prasad Kumar visited the temple to seek the blessings of Goddess Jogulamba and Lord Bala Brahmeshwara Swamy. The temple priests performed a Poornakumbha ritual to welcome the dignitaries. Special prayers and rituals were held for the Speaker and his family.
After receiving the temple’s sacred offering, known as Teertha Prasadam, the Speaker concluded his visit and headed back to Hyderabad.
