Gadwal: District Collector B.M. Santosh encouraged farmers to take full advantage of the ongoing “Bhoo Bharati” Revenue Grievance Camps happening in villages. These camps aim to solve long-standing land-related issues right at the doorstep of the people.
On Tuesday, the Collector visited Vavilala village in Ittikyal mandal to attend one such grievance camp. He spoke directly with local farmers, listened to their concerns, and accepted their petitions related to land ownership, record errors, and other property disputes.
Collector Santosh explained that the Telangana government has launched the Bhoo Bharati (ROR) Act, which replaces the older Dharani system. The act is being tested in Ittikyal mandal as part of a pilot project. Similar grievance camps are now being held in 28 mandals across 28 districts in the state.
Earlier, people had to travel to government offices to fix land issues. Now, officials are going to the villages themselves. They collect applications, investigate the cases on-site, and issue official orders—all without charging any fees.
In Gopal Dinne village, officials received 21 land-related applications on the first day of the drive. The Collector urged residents to fill out and submit their petitions in the correct format to ensure quick processing.
These camps offer help with several common land problems, including:
– Mistakes in name entries in land records
– Differences in land measurements
– Inheritance-related claims
– Wrong classification of land usage
– Lands wrongly marked as restricted
– Unregistered sale deeds (Sada Bainamas)
– Missing survey numbers
– Lack of pattadar passbooks or title papers
Unlike Meeseva centers, which charge service fees, the Bhoo Bharati camps are completely free. Farmers can get their issues addressed without spending money or traveling far.
Collector Santosh urged all farmers to use this valuable opportunity to permanently fix any pending land issues.
Additional Collector Lakshmi Narayana, Ittikyal Tahsildar Veerabhadrappa, Erravalli Tahsildar Naresh, and several other officials and farmers also took part in the event.
