Warangal: The Congress government is working hard to create jobs, said Duddilla Sridhar Babu, Minister for IT, Industry, and Commerce.
He was speaking at the ‘Mega Job Mela’ held in Parkal on Friday. The event was organised by local MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy. Sridhar Babu said that Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy plans to fill 2 lakh government job openings in phases and also create more job opportunities for the people.
He mentioned that nearly 30 lakh people in Telangana are unemployed and encouraged them to take part in Job Melas like this one.
Around 50 companies came to Parkal to offer jobs during this Job Mela. The goal was to connect job seekers with employers and help more youth find work.
Sridhar Babu also spoke about the new Young India Skills University being set up in Hyderabad. He said it shows the government’s commitment to solving unemployment. He added that the government is planning to build skill development centres in every district.
He explained that about 3,000 people are competing for each government job, and to meet this demand, the state needs foreign investment. However, he said some groups are trying to block these efforts.
MLA Revuri Prakash Reddy said he organised the Job Mela to help local young people find work. He hopes that at least 5,000 youth will get jobs through this event and said he plans to hold more job fairs in the future.
At the end of the event, Minister Sridhar Babu handed out job offer letters to selected candidates. Other leaders present included MLAs Naini Rajender Reddy, K R Nagaraju, Gandra Satyanarayana Rao, KUDA chairman E Venkatram Reddy, and the collectors of Hanumakonda and Warangal, P Pravinya and Satya Sharada.
