The Tourism & Sports Minister of Hyderabad, Srinivas Goud, has urged for a united fight against the BJP government for neglecting the Backward Classes by not conducting the BC Census and failing to create a central ministry. Goud emphasized that BCs should support the BRS government in the state, which has implemented several welfare schemes for the BC communities. The Jyothiba Phule birth anniversary celebrations were attended by Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Banda Prakash, BC Commission Chairman Vakulabharanam Krishnamohan Rao, Special Chief Secretary BC Welfare Department Burra Venkatesham, BC Union leaders, and other leaders. Minister Srinivas Goud highlighted that the BCs have access to higher education because of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, and reservations were introduced by Babasaheb Ambedkar and Sahu Maharaj based on Phule’s principles. He also mentioned that under the leadership of KCR, BCs are receiving world-class education through 310 hostels in the state. Goud added that state festivals are being organized to commemorate the celebrations of Chakali Ailamma, Doddi Komurayya, Sarvai Papanna, and other BC leaders under the BRS government.
